She, along with the rest of her sisters, got a crush on Lincoln's tutor, Hugh in the episode "Study Muffin". In the same episode, she mentioned that Lincoln's female substitute teacher, Ms. DiMartino, was "smokin'". Onward in the second season, Luna was shown to have a crush on her best friend, Sam Sharp, in the episode "L is for Love".

The Basement is comprised of inconsistently colored walls and floor, one exposed light bulb, Cliff's scratching post, the radiator, the fusebox, and a single consistently depicted window above the washer, dryer, and a sink, on the wall on which the entire kitchen is located above. It is accessible by a staircase located behind a door in the kitchen. The Attic is comprised of exposed wood, two exposed light bulbs, a part of the chimney, and various old objects such as games, boxes, an old-fashioned television set, Lynn Sr.'s old camera, a cardboard box full of hand-me-downed clothes, and Lincoln's homemade coffee mugs. It is accessible by climbing a fold-up ladder through a door in the center of the hallway. In "Time Trap!", the room is a workout studio with gray walls, desaturated dark orange carpeting, a weight rack, a calendar, a flat screen TV, a treadmill, a punching bag, an exercise ball, and the window has blinds instead of curtains. In "Time Trap!", the Hallway has grayish white walls, a grayish beige rug, three pictures of Rita and Lynn on the wall between the stairs and Lori and Leni's room, and a mirror on the wall next to Lisa and Lily's room between the door and the corner.

Before the cooperation, they argued and accused each other for causing closing their hobby clubs. In "Brawl in the Family", they were the second sisters to get into a fight. In "House Music", Luna growled in annoyance at Luan when she played her whoopee cushion when Luna was picking up her guitar to make it look like Luna farted. The two of them don't interact with each other much, but in "Along Came a Sister", it is shown that she does enjoy listening to her music and dances while she and Lily used pots and pans as drums, although it was actually a diversion to keep Leni from noticing Frances. Although they get along, like all her siblings, Luna does get annoyed by Leni’s absent mindness. In "Deep Cuts" Luna with Lori and Luan protested together against closing their hobby clubs.

It is located between Lynn and Lucy's room and Lincoln's room, and is opposite to Lisa and Lily's room. Nina is a dark-skinned teenage girl who’s slightly shorter than Luna. As of May 2023, seven seasons of the series have been broadcast. She wears a purple t-shirt with a skull on it, a light purple skirt with a square pattern, a grey belt wrapped around the skirt and high purple boots, as well as paperclips she uses for earrings. She has short brown hair, styled into a pixie cut, freckles on her cheeks, and wears light purple eye shadow. She wears a purple t-shirt with a skull, torn crew neck and triangular sleeves, a plaid skirt similar to Luan's (only lavender), a light gray belt, and high purple boots. She also wears three black bracelets on each of her wrists and a choker around her neck. Lori and Leni's room has baby blue walls covered in posters, dark blue carpeting, one window, a closet, holiday lights on the ceiling, a dresser, a chair, a sewing machine, with various sewing supplies surrounding it, and Lori and Leni's, blue blanket and pink blanket beds. It is located between the staircase and the bathroom, and is opposite to Luna and Luan's room.

Luke eventually turns out to be a product of Lincoln's imagination as the whole adventure was revealed to be a dream, and Lincoln wakes up from it at the end of the episode. In the alternate dimension of the episode "One of the Boys", where Lincoln has brothers, instead of sisters, Luna is a boy named Luke Loud. Like his female counterpart, Luke is an aspiring rocker; however, he is shown to be rude and abrasive toward Lincoln, which completely contradicts how Luna is very caring towards Lincoln, as he uses his head for cleaning the toilet. Her original design showed her with a black shirt, red skirt, and white boots, before her color scheme was finalized; additionally, her paperclip earrings were not present.

Luna has a close bond with her younger sister, Lucy, who shares her passion for music and often collaborates with her on various creative projects. Luna’s charisma, passion for music, and relatable personality make her a fan favorite on The Loud House. She has garnered a significant following and has become an iconic part of the show. Her passion for music and desire to share her talent with the world drives her towards achieving her dreams. She can speak both English and Spanish fluently, adding another layer of diversity to her character.

In "Undercover Mom", Rita assumes the alias of Brita to bond with Luna, who confides her relationship troubles with Sam. When Rita's cover is blown, Luna is hurt, but changes her mind when she reads the reason behind Rita's actions. They don't have many interactions, but Rita treats Luna like all of her other children.

All thanks to the manager of the club seeing them handle performing to little kids at the birthday party. Sam, Mazzy and Sully told Luna that Lincoln did a good job as their manager, which made Luna regret firing him in the first place. She called him to come to her, and when he arrives, she announces to the crowd that they're here because of the best manager, her brother Lincoln. She pulls him up on stage to thank him and apologize for firing him.

The series premiered on May 15, 2016, in the Middle East and North Africa on Nickelodeon, dubbed in Gulf Arabic. In the comic "Midnight Melody" (printed in After Dark), Luna was staying up at midnight after being struck by inspiration to write a song for Sam. As she struggles with finding the right word that rhymes with "world", she decides to call Sam for advice (while fearing she may be asleep, that she'll think that Luna is a weirdo or both). Fortunately, when Luna does call her, Sam was up binge-watching a new cooking competition show. As Luna confides to her with her rhyming issue, Sam explains that she's had the same problem and figured it would be "more punk" to make lyrics that don't rhyme and as long as they come from the heart, that's all that matters. In "Deep Cuts", Sam protests alongside Luna and their bandmates to save their music club.

As a lover of music, Luna enjoys attending concerts and immersing herself in the live music experience. From local gigs to big arena shows, Luna is always ready for a rocking good time. It is adorned with posters of her favorite bands, musical instruments, and memorabilia, creating a rockstar atmosphere. She is a talented singer, songwriter, and musician who is often seen rocking out with her guitar. The series has spawned a graphic novel series by publisher Papercutz. The graphic novels are by either crew members or other incoming artists, and dive into the world of the show and the characters within.

In "House Music", Luna gets extremely excited when she learns Mick Swagger will be at the Family Fun Fair scouting for young talent. But after her bossy attitude gets her kicked out of the family band, she encounters a bearded stranger (who is really Mick in disguise) and she tells him about what had been happening. The stranger reminds her of Mick Swagger's words about having fun playing in a band. After performing with her family on stage at the fair, he compliments Luna for her talent and reveals himself, causing her to get so starstruck that she couldn't even say his name. In "Overnight Success", it is shown that he enjoys listening to her playing rock music. In the comic "The Struggle is Real", during the story "I'm with the band", Luna and her friends (Sam, Mazzy and Sully) want to shine on stage, but she couldn't book any gigs.

Her outfit consists of a Viking's helmet, a nose ring, a black tank top with a pink lightning bolt, a black necklace, a belt with a skull-shaped buckle, a pink skirt, two pink studded bracelets, and a lightning-shaped earring. Barbara also plays the guitar like Luna, although she was only seen playing an acoustic guitar, instead of an electric one. However, in the "dimension" where the Loud children consist of one girl and ten boys, Luke's shown to be very caring and protective towards his sister, Linka (Lincoln's female counterpart).

In "Overnight Success", Luna once invited her friends to a house party, but Lynn Sr. was kicked out because he was not on the list. Luna gets along well with both of her parents, much like she does with her siblings. In "The Struggle is Real", Lily interrupts Luna's indoor concert by farting.

When she realized she was a jerk and apologized to her siblings, they all forgave her. In the story, the Rock God was playing her guitar, and it had one of the shards of the crystal that the protagonists were searching for. Princess DeLola (Lola's alter ego) made a deal with her to trade the guitar for a different instrument, and so they gave her an instrument that was a hybrid of many instruments they found growing on a tree. The Rock God looks exactly like Luna, only much larger, with sharper teeth, and wearing a different outfit.
